Gautam Chemist is a licensed retail pharmacy operating at SCO No. 195, Sector-16, Panchkula, Haryana with over 40 years of experience in the medical field. We are committed to protecting our customers' personal information and maintaining transparent business practices.
This policy applies to all customers who visit our store, contact us via phone/WhatsApp, or use our home delivery service.
3 Return Policy
Due to the nature of pharmaceutical products and patient safety regulations, our return policy is strictly governed by the following rules:
Medicines are generally non-returnable once purchased and dispensed. This policy exists to ensure patient safety and comply with drug regulations.
Return Eligibility (Exceptional Cases Only):
- Original purchase receipt must be presented.
- Medicine must be in original, sealed and unopened packaging.
- Medicine must not be expired.
- Return must be initiated within 7 days of purchase date.
- Return is only accepted if there was a dispensing error by our pharmacy.
Returns After 30 Days:
If a return is processed after 30 days from the date of purchase under any exceptional circumstance, additional handling and restocking charges will be deducted from the refund amount. The deduction percentage is determined at the time of return based on the condition and type of medicine.
Non-Returnable Items — No Exceptions:
- Opened or partially used medicines / strips.
- Refrigerated or cold-chain medicines (insulin, eye drops, biologicals, vaccines).
- Medicines returned after 60 days of purchase.
- Medicines without original packaging or receipt.
- Narcotics or controlled substances (Schedule X).
- Surgical items and consumables once opened.
For medicines that were incorrectly dispensed due to our error, we offer a full exchange or refund with no deductions, provided the medicine is returned within 7 days in sealed condition.

A 3% surcharge is applied on all credit card transactions to cover payment gateway and banking network processing fees. This charge is non-negotiable and non-refundable.
All prices are quoted inclusive of GST as per applicable tax slabs on pharmaceutical products. No hidden charges are applied on medicines beyond the above-stated surcharges.
5 Delivery Policy
Home delivery is a paid/chargeable service. Delivery charges are applicable on all home delivery orders and are confirmed with the customer before dispatch.
Delivery Terms:
- Home delivery is available within Panchkula and select nearby areas.
- Delivery charges vary based on location and order size — communicated upfront.
- A minimum order value may apply for home delivery orders.
- Delivery timings: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday to Sunday.
- Orders placed after 6:00 PM may be delivered the following day.
- For prescription medicines, a valid doctor's prescription must be shared prior to delivery.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect address information provided by the customer.

6 Discount Policy
We offer genuine discounts of 20% to 65% off MRP on all medicines. Our discount policy is transparent and straightforward:
- Discounts are applied directly on the MRP (Maximum Retail Price) printed on the medicine packaging.
- All customers receive the same discount — no loyalty cards or codes required.
- Discounts apply on branded, generic, ayurvedic and surgical products.
- The discount percentage may vary by product category, brand and manufacturer.
- Discounts are not applicable on the 3% credit card surcharge or delivery charges.
All medicines sold are 100% genuine and sourced from authorised distributors and manufacturers only.
7 Prescription Policy
We strictly comply with all applicable laws under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Pharmacy Act, 1948 in India:
- Schedule H / H1 drugs: A valid doctor's prescription is mandatory.
- Schedule X (Controlled substances): Prescription mandatory; register maintained as per law.
- OTC medicines: No prescription required.
- Ayurvedic / Herbal products: Generally no prescription required.
We reserve the right to refuse dispensing any prescription medicine if a valid prescription is not provided.
8 How We Use Your Information
Any personal information we collect is used solely for:
- Processing and fulfilling your medicine orders.
- Coordinating home delivery and communicating delivery status.
- Sending order-related updates via WhatsApp/SMS (no marketing spam).
- Maintaining billing records as required under GST and drug regulations.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.
9 Data Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect customer data. Your contact and order information is stored securely and is accessible only to authorised staff. Physical records are maintained per applicable statutory requirements.
Our website uses HTTPS to ensure all form submissions and data transmissions are encrypted.
